PLM: Design Overview - Body No. - What It Is & How To Use
Within the design overview, there is a Design Attribute Field named "Body No." This information will house the Body No. Name & Code that relates back to the design. The Body No. Name & Code selected, will help to generate the design's style no. OPTION 1: WHEN DEVELOPING A DESIGN WITH AN ESTABLISHED SILHOUETTE When building out a design, if the design's silhouette has been developed before, select the established body no. / name from the list. For example, if you are developing a "Miller Jacket" select this from the drop down option. Continue to fill out other information as needed, and click save (or save & close.) Upon saving, your style number will generate with the Body No. Code. (As long as a complete style no. has not yet been generated by the system you will see that the corresponding code (1492) populates in the style number.) Please see below flow chart to indicate how system is generating the style no. OPTION 2: WHEN DEVELOPING A DESIGN WITH A NEW SILHOUETTE When building out a design, if the design's silhouette has never been developed before, you will need to add the Body No. Name & Code to the drop down list. See SOP on "When to create a new Body No. in PLM." See SOP on "Who creates a new body no. in PLM." See SOP on "How to create a new Body No." to PLM. Once new Body No. & Code is added, go back to OPTION 1.

PLM: Design Overview - Body No. Library - How To Create a New Body No.?
How to create a new body no. in the body no. library? In order to do this, please follow below steps. 1. Create a new design and select the appropriate classification so that the system generates a "Design No." We will now utilize this system generated design no. as our code for our NEW BODY NO. 2. Once we have this information, open PLM on a 2nd tab and navigate to the section named "Set Up" **Though a 2nd TAB is NOT NECESSARY, it is helpful.** Then click "Attributes" Then click "Body No." 3. Here, you will be able to add the new "Body No. Name" & "Code." To do so, click "New Body No." 4. You will be brought to below page. 5. Here, please fill out at least the "Name" and "Code" section. The Name should be: - The design's name (+ a short description if needed,) and the code in parentheses "( )". The Code should be: - The new design's design no. (*Denim & Non Denim Design type will follow established logic for Body No. code generation due to character limitations within style no.s.) See below as an example. Please note the relation between the new Design & the new Body No. (indicated with green arrows.) 6. Once the Body No. Name & Code are filled out, click "Create." Congratulations! You have successfully added a new "BODY NO." to the Body No. Library.
