PLM: Tech Packs - What To Do: My BOM Colorway is Not Generating On My Tech Pack
While working in PLM to build out and generate tech packs with BOMs (BOM Colorways,) you may encounter a challenge where the BOM is not populating / generating on the tech pack. In most cases, this is a easy fix! Please follow the below steps to ensure your BOM (BOM Colorway) is populating on your tech pack. 1. Ensure the Design has at least 1 active colorway associated with it. For example: 1 Design Colorway: 2+ Design Colorways: 2. Next, click into the BOMs section of the design. Identify the BOM you wish to include in the tech pack. Click into that BOM. For the purpose of this example, let's look at the BOM named "PROTO DEVELOPMENT." 3. Once you click into the BOM, go to the "Colors" Tab of the BOM. At this point, you will notice that there is NO DESIGN COLORWAY COLUMN (this column would be visible where red arrow is pointing.) In order for a BOM (BOM COLORWAY) to populate on the tech pack, we must have color(s) associated with the BOM. To associate a color(s) with the BOM click "Hide/Show Color" at the top of the BOM. (Highlighted in green box.) 4. Once you click "Hide/Show Colors," you will be prompted with below pop up. If you see that the Design Colorway does not have a blue check next to it (as imaged below) proceed to next step. 5. Check the box next to the colorway you wish associate with the BOM, and click "Update." 6. Once you click "Update," the system will navigate you back to the BOM where the DESIGN COLORWAY COLUMN will now be visible. 7. Now that you have associated a color(s) with the BOM, this BOM (BOM COLORWAY) will generate on your tech pack.
